A playful show about something as serious as the human condition and how to make sense of it all

– Never questioned the space between your finger and the moon?
– Who, me? No.
The fact that our life is finite, that it is measured in years, days, minutes and seconds is a hard burden to carry. In the universe we enter two persons are thrown into a condensed version of life, without rules or any obvious meaning.
They have a timeline, in 70 minutes their time is up and they will exist no more. To cope with that fact they are inventing tasks to understand what it is to live a meaningful life, to be satisfied with the time you have and the actions you take. How do you reach a place where you can say: this is it, and it is enough?
The Hour at the Bottom is co-written by Sonia Antinori (Italy) and Matilda Klamas (Sweden). It is an artistic collaboration exploring the inevitable progression of time, the struggle to make an impact and the courage to stare into the void without batting an eye.
On stage, the text is brought to life by the actors Matilda Bördin (Sweden) and Andrea Callegarin (Italy), calling the philosophical questions about the human condition into the here and now.

– Hast du dich noch nie gefragt, was zwischen deinem Finger und dem Mond liegt?
– Wer, ich? Nein.
Die Tatsache, dass unser Leben endlich ist, dass es in Jahren, Tagen, Minuten und Sekunden gemessen wird, ist eine schwere Last. In dem Universum, in das wir eintreten, werden zwei Personen in eine komprimierte Version des Lebens geworfen, ohne Regeln oder offensichtlichen Sinn.
Sie haben eine Zeitleiste: In 70 Minuten ist ihre Zeit abgelaufen, und sie werden nicht mehr existieren. Um mit dieser Tatsache fertig zu werden, erfinden sie Aufgaben, um zu verstehen, was es bedeutet, ein sinnvolles Leben zu führen, mit der Zeit, die man hat, und den Handlungen, die man unternimmt, zufrieden zu sein. Wie gelangt man an einen Ort, an dem man sagen kann: Das ist es, und es ist genug?
„The Hour at the Bottom“ wurde gemeinsam von Sonia Antinori (Italien) und Matilda Klamas (Schweden) geschrieben. Es ist eine künstlerische Zusammenarbeit, die den unausweichlichen Lauf der Zeit, das Ringen darum, etwas zu bewirken, und den Mut, ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken in die Leere zu blicken, erforscht.
Auf der Bühne wird der Text von den Schauspielern Matilda Bördin (Schweden) und Andrea Callegarin (Italien) zum Leben erweckt, die die philosophischen Fragen nach dem menschlichen Dasein ins Hier und Jetzt rückt.
